Existing booking: 15 Sep 2026, 10:00–12:00


Business requirement

A meeting room already has a booking on 15 September 2026 from 10:00 to 12:00. A new booking is allowed only when its time range does not overlap.

  1. Require both start and end date-times.
  2. Reject a range where End is not later than Start.
  3. A conflict exists when NewStart is before ExistingEnd and NewEnd is after ExistingStart.
  4. Allow a booking that starts exactly when the existing booking ends.
  5. Display either the conflicting booking or an availability message.
