OmniShelf
Application requirements — written in plain language.
Category Management
A manager can create new categories and manage existing ones. Categories are used to group items together so the inventory stays organized.
Item Management
A manager can add new items and manage existing items. Each item belongs to a category. Item details include the name, SKU code, price, and stock quantity.
Inventory Dashboard
The dashboard shows the manager a summary of the inventory. It displays key numbers at a glance — total items, total stock quantity, and items that are running low — so the manager knows the current state of the warehouse without opening individual records.
Quantity Reconciliation
After the manager physically counts the stock in the warehouse, they can update the quantity for any item directly from the dashboard. This brings the system in line with the actual count on the shelf.
Filter by Category
On the dashboard, the manager can filter the item list by category. This makes it easier to focus on one product group at a time during an audit.
